Warship stops pirates in the Gulf

A NATO warship has prevented a piracy incident in the Gulf of Aden.
When a swarm of more than a dozen pirate boats attempted to hijack five merchant vessels, an Italian navy destroyer put itself between the ships and a group of pirate skiffs.
The Italian warship, Luigi Durand de la Penne, also used its helicopter against the pirates, dispersing their attack.
The vessels under threat were the Hambourg Star, flagged out of Liberia, the Hong Kong registered Overseas Hercules, Iranian flagged Iran Esteghlal, the Sea Queen from Singapore, and the Alexander Sibum flagged in Antigua and Barbuda.
Gulf of Aden and Indian Ocean waters have seen around 100 vessels attacked this year in the world’s busiest sea routes.

Pirates, why the kid gloves??
Piracy has no place in the modern world, although I can kind of sympathize with them in a sense. They have no other means of making money, being that Somalia is a failed state! That said though, they should be blown out of the water when ever, where ever, they are found, BOOM! Done! That would have the desired affect, there must be consequences! So I ask, why all the pussyfootin around people?!?

We should NOT pay ransom to those Somalia’s Negro pirates, one hijacked ship at a time, hostages taken is not a point of safety, don’t take pirate’s demands; from now on the NATO warships will be ordered to surround the hijacked ship UNTIL the pirates to give up, otherwise Navy ordered to shoot on sight. Playing tough, the copter’s airborne troops might invade Somalia from its back to fight the Negro pirates' beachhead.

If they settle down their own affair among the clans,it will be a great country. The power is behind the guns and I am sorry ,what ever they are doing only very few are making it.
