LONDON, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Greater Manchester Police announced Tuesday that they are responding to reports of a light aircraft crash in Littleborough near Rochdale, northwest England.
Police and fire services, along with an air ambulance, responded earlier to reports of a plane crash at a farmland site near the M62 motorway in Littleborough, according to the BBC. The report said the aircraft was believed to have been carrying two people, and that one of them had escaped by parachute.
No casualties have yet to be confirmed, the police said.
